Group Class at the New Jersey School of Music

  • Group classes in Cherry Hill run through the Cherry Hill Township recreation department and are taught by New Jersey School of Music staff at our Cherry Hill location. The classes being offered include: Guitar, Piano, Violin, and Flute. For levels, days and times available please refer to the Cherry Hill Township bulletin or on their website.     BAND CLASS
    This course is designed to introduce elementary school children to a band instrument.  In this group setting, the focus is on learning to read and play music while integrating the skills necessary to play in the middle school band.  All students must attend class with their own instrument.  There will be a $10 material fee in addition to the registration fee quoted below.

    PIANO LESSONS
    This group learning environment is perfect for the beginning piano player wanting to give lessons a try.  Group instruction on keyboard provides each student with positive feedback while headphones afford the privacy necessary to progress individually.  This class is an exciting way to develop an interest in music.  Material fees will be an additional $10.

    In a group setting, you will get great instruction from a professional musician in a positive learning atmosphere.  Whether your interest is in getting into a rock or pop band, playing jazz standards , Bach, show tunes  or just playing at home for fun, this class will start you on the road to making great music.  All students must attend class with their own acoustic instrument.  Material fees will be an additional $15.00.

    INTRODUCTION TO STRINGS
    A positive and nurturing learning atmosphere with a professional musician is the basis for this intro to strings class.  Whether your interest is in participating in an amateur string quartet of just playing at home for your own enjoyment this fun class is the best place to start.  All students must attend class with their own instrument and bow.  Material fees will be an additional $10.
