Welcome to the New Jersey School of Music, providing music education in South Jersey since 1958. We have two convenient locations; Medford and Cherry Hill NJ. Our expert, degreed and professional music instructors, teach students of all ages, levels and abilities. All of our lessons are private and therefore tailored to the individual student's needs. We offer voice lesson and instrumental lessons for the following instruments: Bass, Banjo, Baritone Horn, Cello, Clarinet, Drums, Flute, French Horn, Guitar, Mandolin, Piano, Piccolo, Recorder, Saxophone, Trombone, Trumpet, Tuba, Viola and Violin. Music therapy sessions are also available on location or in the comfort of the clients home.

  • We offer two formal recital series each year as well as many other performance opportunities for students of all ages and ability; including visits to retirement communities/nursing homes, restaurants and community events.
  • We are proud of our Music Therapy Program, offering the services of board certified music therapists who see clients on site and in your home.
  • We recognize and emphasize the importance of lesson continuity and guarantee it through our flexible and generous make up policy and our dedication to providing a qualified teacher at every lesson (including substitute teachers in the rare instance that your regular instructor is not available).
  • We care about the quality of the lessons we provide and welcome your feedback.
  • We emphasize the importance of at home practice at every lesson and teach the habits necessary to develop effective practice skills.
  • Our large and varied teaching staff can offer different approaches, methodologies and learning skills to students with varying learning styles.
  • We teach all band and orchestral instruments as well as piano, percussion and voice.
  • We pay our teachers well; we respect their time and expertise and demand the best work from them in return. Many have been teaching here for several decades.

  • For your convenience we stock sheet music, instrument supplies and other items needed for proper instrument function and productive lessons.
